Reading the 2046 new moon calendar
Each row is the instant the Moon passes between Earth and the Sun. The Moon itself is invisible for a day or so either side, and the "moonless evenings" column gives the practical window: the nights when no Moon is in the sky after dark, from the last thin waning crescent before new moon to the first evening crescent after it.
